Having a Cornish Adventure is a great way to share experiences with your peer group that will be talked about for years to come!
Aside from having a great time, for young people it’s an excellent confidence builder that increases their knowledge of using the water safely and as well as giving them awareness of the marine environment.

Coasteering, kayaking and surfing lend themselves very well to large group bookings and we can comfortably cater to classes of around 30 at a time. This is normally around the size of a class and teachers usually join us for an adventure too! For larger groups we can run multiple activities simultaneously or split groups across different days. We can create bespoke packages to suit, always working around the tide to create a robust itinerary. We have successfully catered for groups of 60+ and in 2023 year we are providing a package of activities for a group of approximately 100! That is a lot of wetsuit dunking!

Our large groups tend to be schools, both local and schools on tour, Scouts and Girl Guides, Community youth centres, Sports clubs such as football and rugby teams and any other organisation that has lots of young people that could use an adventure! We are experienced in catering to a variety of special needs and we keep our activities inclusive by providing 1 on 1 support where needed within a group to allow an individual to be involved but supported. We can also cater to groups that are exclusively special needs by increasing the instructor to participant ratio on a case by case basis. We recommend aged 8 years and upwards for all of our activities. However for younger children from aged 5+ we can also cater to a large group of children of a similar age (5- 10). We adapt all of our activities to suit the needs, ages and abilities of our groups.

Cornish Adventure Session format
Firstly we kit the group up at our base on Dinham farm in our top quality gear. We have a large selection of kit to cater for all ages and sizes. We then make a short journey to the venue deemed best on the day. Our base is on a fantastic campsite where there is open space and between activities is a great hangout for lunch and recovery! If they still have any energy there is plenty of space to kick a ball or throw a frisbee! For residentials camping stays are also possible on Dinham farm Campsite, our base, for the true outdoor experience!

For Cornish Coasteering we try to plan our sessions around the high tide as we have a very sheltered natural harbour that we head to if the waves are looking lively. This means that our sessions are robust and we rarely need to reschedule or cancel. During Cornish Kayaking session we use the ebbing tide to aid our journey out towards the infamous Doom Bar. As the tide turns we get pushed back to the start, lots of swims and games along the way! We also run A to B kayak sessions where we use the flow of the tide to push us up or down the estuary and explore the middle and upper reaches of the River Camel. Our surf lessons take place on Polzeath beach which is perfect for beginners to learn in a flat, sandy and safe bay. We run our Cornish Surfing surf lessons on the lower tides as there is more space available, we like to avoid the crowds! All of our sessions are focused on having a great time safely and making memories for young people. There is usually hot chocolate involved too!
Hot chocolate makes the perfect rest stop along with a swim in sea!
We hold an AALA License (Adventure Activities Licensing Authority) which is available for inspection along with risk assessments, Insurance Certificates and any other paperwork required by your school. Our staff hold the relevant National Governing Body Awards for the Activities they lead and we hold up to date DBS checks for all of our staff. We maintain Instructor to participant ratios that exceed industry standards to ensure safety and fun for all. We can provide additional instructors to support any individual with additional needs during the sessions.
