Job Title: Adventure Guide

As an Adventure Guide, you’ll have the chance to lead exhilarating outdoor activities, showcase Cornwall’s natural beauty, and create unforgettable experiences for our clients.
Responsibilities:
Guide groups on outdoor adventures; coasteering, kayaking and surfing.
Ensure the safety and well-being of participants during all activities, following proper safety protocols and risk management procedures.
Provide clear instructions, demonstrations, and guidance to participants, catering to different skill levels and abilities.
Share knowledge and information about Cornwall’s rich history, culture, and natural surroundings to enhance the adventure experience.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment, encouraging teamwork, camaraderie, and a spirit of adventure among participants.
Maintain and inspect equipment to ensure it is in safe and working condition.
Handle any unexpected situations or emergencies professionally and efficiently, following established protocols.
Maintaining equipment by following pack down procedures (Wetsuit dunking!).
Keep our base clean and tidy and be part of an awesome team!
Requirements:
Previous experience in leading outdoor adventure activities is advantageous, preferably in Cornwall or similar coastal environments.
Strong knowledge of outdoor safety practices, including first aid and Beach Lifeguard Qualification.
Relevant NGB Awards including Coasteer Guide Award, Paddle Sports Leader and Surf Coach Award.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire participants of various ages and backgrounds.
Physical fitness and stamina to actively participate and lead adventure activities.
Knowledge of Cornwall’s geography, natural features, and points of interest is highly desirable.
A genuine passion for outdoor adventures and a commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences.
Flexibility in working hours, as adventure activities may be scheduled on weekends and can include early or late starts and finishes as we work around tide times.
