Cornish Coasteering at Port Gaverne starts at our new base at the top of the hill in Port Gaverne.

Customers will meet here at our free car park, where we get kitted up and head straight down the hill to start our adventure out at sea. We are 5 mins from Port Isaac and around 15 mins from Polzeath.

Cornsih Coasteering guides showboating after their customers jumped the next ledge down. Charlie is the king of backflips whilst Henry likes to go large!

We start our Coasteering sessions at Port Gaverne based on sociable times that are becoming of a holiday! Because Port Gaverne Coasteering sessions are at set times each day you may experience the low tide routes or the mid and high tide routes. Every Coasteer is different!

Working up to some bigger cliff jumps by building confidence and perfecting Coasteering technique! King Arthurs castle in the distance!

Port Gaverne Coasteering has a variety of jumps available from small to very large and we aim to build you up to some bigger jumps if you are feeling brave! It’s not all about the big jumps though as we set a variety of challenges for you as well as having a myriad of sea caves to explore, and an untouched Coast to explore.

Explore Sea Caves! Port Gaverne has a network of sea caves and tunnels beneath the cliffs that are fascinating to explore.

There are curious rockpools to discover and learn about the inhabitants that call them their home. There are seabirds nesting high above us on unreachable ledges and soaring in the sky. If you are lucky you may see a seal and we do occasionally see dolphins or Porpoises off the Cornish Coast too. If you see a seabadger however, swim as fast as you can in the opposite direction!

Scrambling along the coast between swims and jumps. There are some fascinating rock pools, amazing scenery and abundant wildlife.

Coasteering sessions at Port Gaverne are more exposed to the conditions so we recommend that you and your group are strong swimmers. If you can swim well then Port Gaverne has some of the best caves, climbs, wave machines and jumps that Cornwall has to offer! If you are less confident in the water we recommend our  Cornish Coasteering at Dinham farm sessions. We may still end up at Port Gaverne if Conditions are calm but because we plan our Dinham farm sessions around the high tide it means we can head to a sheltered natural harbour, Port Quin, when the waves are a bit lively and still get calmer conditions. Port Quin also proves all the best features you can experience on a Coasteer including jumps, caves and wave machines.

A large cliff jump at Port Quin. This natural harbour is sheltered from large Atlantic swells on high tide so makes a great rough weather venue.

Whichever Cornish Coasteering Adventure you choose our friendly and experienced guides will cater the session to the group on the day and the sea conditions as well as the tide. They will make sure you have the most fun possible whilst keeping you safe. If anybody in your group has any additional needs please get in touch to inform us as we may wish to assign an extra instructor to make sure they can be involved whilst being supported on the Adventure!
